Looking for an SWG equipment expert here. I have a Jandy valve with a motorized actuator between my filter and the SWG. The pipe from the tee dives into the ground parallel to the output side of the SWG. It looks like an automated bypass around the SWG, obviously actuated by the controller. Can anyone tell me if my supposition is correct, and under what circumstances the controller would actuate this valve? Thanks!

The booster pump picks up water between the filter output and the Jandy valve (i.e., before the valve).
