Instapark Betta review

Ok so I just did their online chat on the website and they said that if you previously purchased a Betta, and it is still within the extended warranty period (in my case, 3 years), then you do get 20% off (10% with the 2y warranty) of the purchase of an SE Plus. I didn't see anything about a coupon code in my old emails, so you might have to do an online chat to get their support to give you one. They said they're going to email me a 20% code. It would be super rad if you could stack the coupons, but I doubt that will work.

So, spending $60 for the warranty gets you $40-something extra off a new unit. That seems like a dang good deal, especially considering you have to ship these things back for repairs every 17 mins lol.

edit: Just got my code via email and it brought the SE Plus down to $343 and it even gives a discount on the extended warranty ($60 --> $48). Sweet!

Dang, I just sent them an email to see if I can get the other 10% discount (since I bought it at 10% off). I did buy the 2 with a 3 year warranty. I didn't remember the 20% either.

So I just bought the new Beta SE plus. I still have 2 years or so on my previous warranty for my Beta 3 (3?). My choices were take the 20% off the new SE plus, or trade in the old beta and get the new one with a 3 year warranty for $320.0. I opted for just taking the 20% off so that I have 2 betas because of all the pine needles I constantly get and also because when one inevetably breaks I still have a functioning one while the other is in the shop. I still have 2 years on the warranty for my old Beta. My total for the new beta and the 3 year warranty was $427.98 total including tax. So $100.00 more then the trade in but I get two betas this way. Also I asked how long it takes to charge the new beta via the wall plug and they said 4 hours from complete dead to fully charged.

Betta2 (2 years old, repaired 1 year) + Betta SE Plus. The backend of the 2 is riding very low (both empty baskets), almost at switch. Normal? Both travel at same speed. SE took about 3 hours to charge. Will see which lasts longest.

The 2 quit at 9:00pm last night (started just after noon when sun hit it). The SE is still going (10:30am), from yesterday's charge at 3pm. Cloudy day today, will see how long it lasts before a recharge. Looks like a winner! Matches my gray Seagull Pro.

Yeah my Plus is lasting forever too. Not sure if it's just that the battery has degraded on my 2, or if the battery capacity is that much larger on the Plus.

I think the sun just doesn't charge it as well as the charger. I remember when I got my 2 back from repair a year ago, the first cycle lasted much longer than future cycles. They probably give it a full charge before shipping, like we can now!
