Last weekend I checked my thermal mode setting was enabled and increased the temperature to 50° to ensure that it would turn on. It worked fine.

For some reason now we're down in the 20° range in the area and with my thermal mode still enabled, it does not seem to be turning the pool pump on.
I even increased the thermal mode to 50°.
It still hasn't turned on.

Pentair 3hp VS

Any ideas?

There is no way to know what temperature the pump drive is sensing to know why it does not think it should run in Thermal Mode.

You just have to assume the pump thinks it is okay.

Will the pump run if you turn it on normally?

There's no way my pump can think anything is above 50°. It's been in the teens and twenties here for at least 24 hours. That's why I was hoping rebooting the drive controller would correct itself.

There is no way to ask the robot to explain why it does not want to run.

I wonder if the thermal setting will work after you cut the power via the cb and then give it a minute or two before turning it back on.
Tried that power cycle. No change.

So I programmed Program4 for Manual,700rpm. Let that trickle last night.
Check on it this morning... it's off.
Do I have to disable all of the other programs to allow Program4 (manual) be manual for 24 hrs. The more I type and rationalize that in my head the more I'm thinking that's what needs to be done.

700 rpm is way too low. Run it at least 1200-1500 rpm.
