Pool heater will not shut at set temperature. Overheats pool. Sensors appear to be good.

GL235 is a solar controller. Is the solar valve actuator 3-way switch set to the middle/off position? Sounds like it.

Are you sure the valve is working? If you switch it to “manual / test” does the valve open, and if you switch it to “manual / off” does the valve close?
When the sun is off the air temperature probe, does the valve close as expected?
