I’ve been struggling with a high PH 8.0 and high TA 125. Dumping MA every other day it seems to get the PH down but I just can’t get it past 7.6 which won’t let me get my TA down with aeration.

I would appreciate any thoughts you may have. My equipment info should be in my bio and my testing numbers in pool math.

Thank you!

Your logs are incomplete.

There is no reason why you cannot lower pH to 7.0. Note the "note" at the bottom of "effects of adding" in pool math when you have muriatic selected. Should be done in .4 increments.

Lower your pH in .4 increments. Test, add to reduce .4, 30 minutes pump running, test. Repeat until you get to 7.0-7.2.

Of course you can reduce pH. Calculate a dosage that will reduce your pH by .4. Test it one hour later.

If it has not gone down, do it again (and again and again) until you reach your target.

TA of 125 is not excessive anyway. I would leave it alone........it will slowly come down on it's own.
