Hayward/Omnilogic not controlling the heater

Omnilogic uses a 2-wire low voltage relay to control the heater. When heat is called for, the relay is closed and the heater fires.
I suspect the heater is not longer set in the correct MODE for remote control.

2-WIRE REMOTE CONTROL CONNECTION:
To configure the heater for 2- wire remote thermostat control, use the “MODE” key on the heater keypad to put the control into “STANDBY” mode. Then press and hold both the “DOWN” and “MODE” keys for 3 seconds until the display shows the code “bo”.
On the remote control wiring terminal block (Figure 22), connect the appropriate wires from the remote control to the terminals adjacent to the ORANGE wire (“POOL”) and WHITE wire (“24V”).
To operate the heater by remote thermostat, the heater’s control must be in “POOL” mode. The display will show “bo”. The “POOL” LED will be illuminated. The remote thermostat will operate the heater. The heater’s thermostat will function to limit the water temperature to a maximum of 104°F.

We have a Hayward system using an Omnilogic control panel. It used to seamlessly all work together, where I could set schedules and the pump and heater would come on when desired and switch between the spa and the pool without issue. Recently our (now former) pool maintenance person shut it all down to replace the filters and now the panel no longer controls the heater. The pool is supposed to heat from 8am to 2:30pm, and then switch to spa mode from 2:35pm to 6:30pm. The pump and automated valves do this without issue. The panel will say the heater is on and running, but the heater is actually not on.

To add to the confusion, the heater is operational but it comes on randomly (to any schedule) at 2:25pm and runs to 6:30pm. Also, the Omnilogic panel heater temp is set to 104, but the spa will only heat to 100, which is what is on the actually heater's display.

How can we "reconnect" the heater to the Omnilogic panel?

Be sure that the thermostat in the heater is set to 104. Even in "bo" mode the internal thermostat determines maximum temperature the heater will heat to.
