We’ve had our first cold snap here. I fired our pump up to help me clear debris out of the pool after the front moved through and it’s making an audible squealing. I’m assuming it’s bearing related, and also assuming that if I left it run it may lessen as the grease warms up. Beyond this - what works best approach be? Pool is new so I’m still under warranty. Call PB?

Sounds more like something is rubbing than a bearing to me... could be cold makes tolerances a little tighter or debris in the fan. Watch for any leak around the seal and call for warranty support if you see any. If the noise persists at least report to PB to protect warranty claim anyway.

I hope this helps.

It does. I contacted PB already. For what it’s worth - it seems to vary on volume over time. Sometimes louder, sometimes not so much. I’ll poke around down there today.

If it it debris - what would I do? Compressed air or is that something that requires the fan to be removed cleaned?

Here are some pics. I don’t see water or lubricant of any kind that would indicate a leak. Lmk if you need pics at a different angle.
