Hi.
Helping a friend so details are scarce.
He has manual valves for his pool/spa. I was trying to figure out if its possible to add actuators to the valves without having then connected to a controller.
There was a pretty detailed post on different types of actuators.
They all seem to be 3 wire 24v DC
Is it just a matter of sending the voltage to the respective left or right micro switch for controlling the direction?
Once it hits the limit....I don't think the controller shuts the voltage off....does the micro switch open voltage to the actuator motor?
If it works as simple as i think i can run the power form a 3 position switch to determine which micro switch gets the DC voltage.
Sadly no pics...but i believe he has two valves he needs to manipulate when switching from Pool to Spa.
TIA
