Severe rust on couple Coleman bars

Found this today on the underside of the top bars. A lot more severe than I thought. Really seems like a defect in workmanship. It’s only 3 specific bars. Three others have some rust but not like this.

We had to replace all of our Intex Ultra Frame steel bits (vertical and horizontal) after only 4 years. The combination of salt water and no powder coating internally did them in. The replacement bars (their new pools use the same size/profile) ordered from Intex are powder coated inside and out this time...which I'm sure they did due to all the failures.

I stayed away from salt because of corrosion concern. Didn’t matter :)

I ended up buying some better condition, used poles from someone for $50. Entire set. Figure 1-2 more years then the liner will be trash anyway.
