most of these frame pools don't come with any kind of skimmer. there are a couple of options - one is a bucket skimmer that hangs over the side of the pool. these are ok if water is off when people are in the pool and they are checked and readjusted after rowdy kids have been in.

lots of folks on here install real skimmers at some point. it involves cutting a hole in your pool so it can be nerve wracking at first, but totally worth it in the end. some pools require some other fittings/plumbing, depending on current hose sizes. look around the site, there are lots of posts and examples of these projects
