Wires burns out on super pump 700

I started popping the circuit more and more frequently. I am setup for 115v. Why did this wire burn out?

Hard to tell what is going on from the pictures.

The wire size does not look to be correct for a 25 amp breaker. I think the pump motor was failing and pulling too many amps. Because you had a 25 amp breaker the wire failed before the breaker tripped. With a 25 amp breaker minimum wire size is 10 gauge.
 
So I hired an electrician today and he upgraded the burnt wire to a thicker AWG and so far she is running great. We can close this case. He confirmed the wiring was all correct and out a multi meter on it.
