We here at TFP would be nothing without our people. As the forum has grown, so has the community, with folks sticking around long past finding the help they needed. These folks have become part of the TFP family and the very fabric of the community. They pay it forward time after time after time for nothing but the feels. We, as a community, need to start singing about these unsung heroes and are asking your help.

If a member, or a team of members went above and beyond to help you, please call them out below.

If you SEE a member, or a team of members going above and beyond, please call them out below.

(To call a member, type the @ symbol and their username. @member for example, then let them know what their help meant to you)

Sincerely,
the Mod Squad :

It takes a village, they say :ROFLMAO: We got you, anytime.

I'd like to call out yourself, (@PoolStored ) @magiteck @MITBeta and @AK-. Y'alls been killing it lately, sometimes entirely solo and other times as a team, but either way have been doing so well that I'm bored some days. I'll go waltzing into a thread, see some combo of the above and waltz right back on out because it's already so well covered.

Fantastic job, all of you. :cheers:

Thank you. Just glad to be a part of this awesome community.

Thankfully I’ve got plenty of these to fill up so I can try to keep up with @Newdude.

This last year has truly been one I never saw coming, and I’m EXTREMELY thankful for this entire group. A year ago events occurred that had the potential to alter TFP’s path greatly however thanks to the help from so many people many here on the site and off the site never even knew something was “off.” I’d like to thank this entire group for really reaching out and helping others with their problems. I cannot tell you how much I LOVE seeing photos of families together enjoying a sparkling swimming pool thanks to the teachings here from each of you.

Sincerely, every member out there who’s taken time to assist another here with their pool, thank you!

The support here is amazing. @Dirk helped me save thousands of dollars fighting with my pool builder.
Oh? Cool. I didn't realize that story had a happy(ish?) ending. Congrat's! Now there's just the matter of my fee... ;)

While thousands of members have played a special part here at TFP there’s some I’d like to call out by name. I’m limited how many names I can drop, but there’s some that truly do deserve a huge thank you!

@ajw22
If anybody here has read a WIKI article, this man’s hands were likely involved in its creation. Allen years ago came to me asking about the creation of a WIKI system as he was tired of answering the same questions over and over. Now, he’s creating full page articles that are answering questions before they even get asked.

@onBalance
Your testing of plaster really has helped change the industry. Keep pressing as pool owners are benefiting from your work day after day.

@kimkats
I’ve said over and over Kim is the OG of the “Under Construction” forum, and her ability to form a bond with members has transformed TFP dramatically. Her chatter has helped countless members with their builds while she’s slipped TFPC Into their lives. Come for help picking tile…..stay for our knowledge.

@JoyfulNoise
This individual has became a good friend over time and I cannot thank you enough for all the help you’ve given me. From questions about science, or the website, or PoolMath….you’re always there for me!

@mknauss and @Jimrahbe
You two should see the hits to the server from your IP addresses! These two are here from morning until night rocking it! It’s amazing how diverse you two are in your knowledge.

@Dirk
Years ago the forum was running very slow and I was struggling to convince Rebecca to shut down in the middle of the Summer and do a MAJOR server update. Then I showed her one of your posts. 😬😱😬

Kidding….kinda. Your knowledge and attention to detail in automation has really been huge as we enter a new chapter of pool care.

@mas985
Fun fact, the “have you lost your head” is one of the most linked to threads here on TFP. You’ve really brought a ton to the table and helped debunk some of the old rubbish Pool builders used to tell their clients.

@redth
Bet you 99% of the people reading this are clueless who this is……but he’s greatly altered the company. Jon is the developer who’s built the PoolMath App and really thrust TFP into modern times. Your efforts have allowed TFP the ability to fund some amazing changes while also becoming a good friend. Thank you!

I can go on and on, but my break is over at work….but again, to each of you…..THANK YOU!

I still say that was Arizonarob's gifs, not my poetry! 😜

Allen's wiki is an amazing body of work (and a lot of work).
Lee, gotta love Lee, he keeps the lights on.
Marty is my hero, and mentor. So you can blame him for me sticking around and clogging up the threads!
I wish I knew a tenth of what either Mark and Matt know!
Jim, James, Tom... those are my go-to guys.
And a special "hey" to NewDude, who is the breath of fresh air around here.
PS. I can't mention my secret love for Kim, 'cause she's married.

I chimed in on a newcomer's post recently and they were grousing about how they couldn't get help and that reddit pool threads got more replies. @mknauss and @Jimrahbe were the only two people posting trying to help this knucklehead that was trying to find every possible way to not answer their questions. I made sure to point out that the two people in the thread had over 70,000 posts between them, and noob was welcome to go browse reddit as long as they wanted, but I'd take Marty and Jim's knowledge over all the other DIY websites combined, and whenever OP was ready, we'd be here to help them clear up their pool.

Outstanding members? Too many to count. Total posts is bonkers; I don't know how y'all can keep that up. Total reaction is something else as well... shout out to my pal @Newdude there, that's one hellacious ratio: 87% reaction score on 14,000 posts?!

It feels like I spend an unhealthy amount of time posting on this site and I'm only on track to post 750 in a year?!

Says the guy with a 133% reaction to post ratio. :ROFLMAO:

But thanks man. :hug:

I had to lay the snack down once. We had a newb who in the end turned out to be amazing, but wasn't listening to @kimkats and @Casey on his build. He thanked 'the ladies' but wanted to know what 'the fellas' thought.

Um. Bruh. You are talking to our most active and 19th most active members of 250k+ (at the time). They have combined to help someone such as yourself over 60k times and you, sir, are talking to TFP royalty. Above ground Queens amongst us peasants. Whatever they have to say, you'd be best off listening.

@kimkats

Let's talk about this further. When Kim got busy at work, there was a Grand Canyon sized hole left over in UC. It is a different kind of frazzled OP there. Over in Algae land, $100 in bleach and some babysitting will fix them right up. In UC, it's second guessing of a $75k+ mistake when the PB ghosts or can only get a neon purple finish. It truly takes a special person to excel there to calm them down and hatch a new plan at every speed bump.

@TampaKathy and @Nikilyn tag teamed spectacularly. Sometimes on their own for easier ones, and the 1-2 uppercut for the harder ones. You two will both probably say 'Oh, I didn't do that much', but TFP saw it for themselves. Many, many times.

Now that Kim is almost back to full strength, we have THREE of you. Bump, set and SPIKE.

These PBs are gonna get mercy-ruled.

OK we have discussed some folks with specialties so let's change gears for a minute and go for some multi tool players.

@Bperry
@phonedave
@Turbo1Ton
@HermanTX

You 4 bounce around wherever you're needed and that is special in its own right. It's also REALLY appreciated on slower days when you are adding to the 6545 times you've all pitched in before. (Everyone pause and let that sink in for a moment)

With folks like you in the reserves, our team is STACKED and ready for anything.

Why thank you. When you start up the telecommunications section - watch out, I'll be there all day. :)

Honestly, I didn't think I was that much of a swiss army knife. Most of my experience is with ABG and Hot Tubs - not much IG pool background. Maybe it is just my incessant posting about soil compaction.

I dunno how I missed this post - no notifications 🤷‍♀️
But it truly is amazing how many folks here have a special niche & step up to bat time after time exactly when they’re needed. I sometimes draw a blank at who to ring for certain situations but somebody generally always steps up & saves the day!
Bravo 👏 ladies & gents🤩

Thats *3* things that help us, no matter how you slice it. And your ABG water skills transfer to IGs no problemo. (y)
