This is a Sta-Rite pump, and I *think* the lid is called "Max-e-Glass". With the pump off, I have tried removing it using WD-40 and [this wrench](https://www.amazon.com/Pool-Tool-Strainer-Pump-Removing/dp/B002XNGQVE/ref=sr_1_1?crid=3U02K6S4J73QR&keywords=sta-rite+wrench&qid=1640973716&sprefix=sta-rite+wrench%2Caps%2C151&sr=8-1), but I decided to cancel the attempt after realizing how much force I was applying to no avail... The wrench I bought seems to concentrate the force on two small points at the ends of the handle, and I am afraid I am going to break the lid!

Any other tricks to get this thing off? Maybe there's another wrench made especially for this lid?

Thanks in advance!

Regardless of your plans, DON’T FORCE THINGS.

You’re gonna be putting some extra stress on things and if you’re not careful things will break. Work slowly and if something isn’t right, stop.
