Hello, I just received my TF Pro salt water test kit yesterday and I was trying to place the batteries in my speedstir and I am a little confused on where they go? I took the back cover off and there is nowhere to place the batteries. I am missing something here??? I have posted a few pics so you can see what I mean.8E41C2F1-F5B6-48D9-909A-9EE6DAF9E3DB.jpeg9BD7AA78-E9EC-46D2-AC37-B2652D498541.jpeg

Thank you,

Brian Lyons

Brian,

I just looked at mine and as you say, you are missing the black battery pack assembly.. This is not something that TF-Testkits would have left out, it must have come that way from the Factory..
Must have been a Friday...

As Marty has pointed out, contact TF-test kits and ask for a replacement.. I'd ask for the Smart-Stir instead.. The same basic function, I just like the Smart stir better..

Thanks,

Jim R.

There was a thread recently that someone received a Speed Stir directly from Taylor with the same issue. They had a manufacturing issue.

There seems to be a variety of speed stir out there that just plugs into a charger. Is this one of them? Is there a spot to plug in an adapter?

That makes sense. Mine does not have wires attached to the back cover. I assume these wires are for the charger plug.

That is it. They got shipped the plug in version. The AC adapter is optional per the Taylor website.

I would pay double for an AC version. The batteries last a long time, don’t get me wrong, but I’d so much rather have it plugged in on the work bench.
