Imagine Illusion 40 Complete 10/19/21

I want to get one more quote on their 8ft pool. I just want to make sure I get the right pool for my princess. I like swimming space n I'm afraid that the tanning ledge might take up a lot of real estate and I wont be happy. I'm having a hard time envisioning this pool. I'm like... what if it's not big enough?! Lol I'm only getting one chance to get this pool done right!

That’s my beef with them. We always wanted a swimming pool and not a lounging pool, but for other people they are awesome. 🤷‍♂️
Decisions decisions.

I'm not opposed to fiberglass but I dont like how they lock you into a size n depth and design. I slept on the "Illusion" and I've decided that I don't want it. I want swimming space. The tanning ledge just wont cut it. If I could have a whole pool plus the tanning ledge, I'd do it but that's not what they offer. So I'll take swimming space over sitting space.

Here is the Celebration. It is 15'6" wide by 40' long and goes from 4ft to 8ft deep. I have also edited the color samples n sent them to Princess to have her tell me what color she likes the most and that will be the finish on the pool.

That would be a great design for more swimmable space. Storm gray or volcanic sand for me. And if I'm not buying, then whichever has the wettest water.

I like the storm grey myself. I'm thinking she will go with the very dark blue. I'd be shocked if she went with a different color. Were going to find out here in about an hour.

I spoke with my builder n he said that model is backordered due to popularity. He's getting my a total gallonage tomorrow. If I have to wait until spring then that's what will have to happen. I'm waiting on 2 pieces of mail and then I can close on the loan n give him his first down payment to order everything from the pool to the equipment. Then itll be a waiting game to see when the pool will be available. I love the look of the "illusion" pool but I just dont think it's going to be big enough to swim underwater like she wants to do and host a big DOC party.

So much for keeping the surprise, huh ? :laughblue:
She has no idea what she's looking at. She only recieved color samples. My daughter has not told her anything! As far as she knows, she's just picking a color.

Congrats on the decision to get an IG!! I like the tanning ledge, but agree it takes up a lot of space. I'd go with the one with the side steps as well.

One note about the quote. The builder is excluding electrical, but make sure there are provisions in the pool contract about who is doing the bonding of all components. Will the builder do it or the the electrician. Bonding needs to be done while the pool is being built and as not an afterthought. Many electricians "forget" about bonding and don't include it in their quote.

Builder is bonding when doing decking.
