My tub isn't even 2 months old yet, so if it came with them they should be there..
What brand is yours? Some use a rubber mount that bolts at each end but is flexible in the middle. These stay bolted, at least until they get old and stiff and start to transfer the vibration. Loosening the nuts will do the trick on those.
Not sure what a new cal spa uses. There are 3 basic types.
One is a rubber cylinder with a bolt sticking out of each end. Thes can also have shipping bolts that have to be removed, but the mounts themselves do not.
Then there is the slotted pad, like the ones in these D1 tubs, that have a slot to hold down the back of the motor foot so only the front gets bolted. These the bolts must be removed or it I'll be loud.
And last is the flat, ribbed pad with rubber washers. These say to leave bolted, but are still sometimes a noise issue unless loosened.

Yes, he has. I wish I could afford to keep it for him, but I need the $ from this one to fix the next one and pay some bills. It's tough to own a spa if you are homeless. Plus, the pool is his but the spa is mine.
So, I got in it last night to recover from moving two tubs around with almost no help. It's been a good decade since I sat in a D1, and I forgot... What a great massage! Between the 3 loaded seats there is no part from neck to butt cheeks you can't massage to blissful numbness. Even the calf/ back of knee and feet. Now I wish I could keep this one, too! Dang bills!
Painted the pillows and got the cover on.
We've got rain, and alot of it, on the way. That might interfere with my sale, as I am located between two creeks on my road, and if both flood I could be unreachable for a while.

Painted the pillows? what paint holds up in that environment?
I use auto body undercoat, but any exterior paint will work. It's not permanent and will have to be redone every couple of years, but since they don't make these particular pillows anymore it's the only option. Other than leaving them an ugly greenish-brown, that is.
Just to wrap up this thread, I deliver tomorrow. Getting $3k, but after I pay my help I will pocket $2500. Then I will spend most of it fixing the next old D1 I have.
Just wanted to say I really enjoyed this thread, very interesting to watch the progression of the repair and see the end result. I know almost nothing about hot tubs but definitely learned a lot. Thanks!

2005 D1 rebuild
Ok, as promised, here it is... This one is a 2005 Dimension One Nautilus. I actually paid something for this tub, which is not the norm for my rebuilds, but it was too nice to pass up. This one is no great adventure like the last two. No frozen pipes or rotted frame here, just a little detective...
