Nice pipe paint job.

Make sure your builder labels every pipe with its usage and flow direction and what it connects to.

We have steel! I got blessed to listen to loud Mexican music today 😂🎶. And they were a yappy crew.
When the excavator did the steps he didn't follow the plan and the plan wasn't even what I really wanted so when I talked to the owner about he he asked me to draw it on a plan so I did that this morning and gave it to the guy. I had also forgotten to add a step in the spa so I talked to him about it. I didn't want it very wide because I didn't want to lose seating and I drew it just how I wanted it. I went out later and he had formed it pretty wide. I stood there looking at it trying to talk myself into it being ok because I could tell it would be a pain to redo. But as I kept looking at it I said, nope, I want it done right. I knew that if I left it I would get mad at myself for not saying anything every time I got in it so I had him change it. I'm so glad I did.

Your view is so pretty. Just gorgeous!
I'm glad your build is progressing. It's really slow this month with the holiday and slowing down due to the weather. At least I think that's their excuse. I know I wouldn't want to be out in the cold doing that tough work! Isn't it fun dealing with those early morning wake up calls with loud talking, whistling, singing with the radio, and all the 'progress noise?' !!! All I can add is I'm glad they break in the early afternoon each time they come. I've come to cherish my quiet!

@Sollace From the time we were building our house I knew we needed a pool in that corner of the yard so that we could see the mountains 😍. Our weather isn’t all that cold. It’s been the hottest year on record. We were in the 90s the week before Thanksgiving. I’ve been so over the heat for months. Next week we’ll even be in the 70s and Christmas Day will be 68 😒.

@Sollace Nope, no chiller. Never been in a pool with one and we survived. Our house faces west so there will be shade on the pool by early afternoon. Hopefully that will help.

We found out today that we area scheduled for shotcrete on the 15th 🥳. I also found out that I can get the rock I want for our waterfall 😊. Every company I talked to would only do surface select or a gold. I wanted a grey. I found one at a rock place that I really liked that is a dark grey but looks black wet with some white veining. The other waterfall builders wouldn't even consider it because it wasn't what they used. This guy has been around a long time and was willing to do something different. He thinks it's going to make a nice looking waterfall. So those are two big things checked off the decision list ✔️. We also got our double gate up and just need to seal it. Love when progress is made. 6D0BF0A5-CEA5-4935-9171-E6B5BA59A686.jpeg

What progress! And exciting! Love the rock. Nothing has happened for weeks now for mine. I thought we would be similar timing! I guessed wrong!

My husband and son got all the dirt that was piled all down the sidewalk leveled and trenches filled. It looks SO much better 😃. There's still piles around the pool but we have to wait for shotcrete to fill in those trenches by the pool so they don't fall into the pool. All the rock piled next to the house will go over dirt but we'll wait until deck is done for that. B14A6E4A-24C4-4C06-94A5-05CEB7A8B4BB.jpeg
