Close or take down ABG pool in Vegas

Welcome to the forum.

You can not close it. You can take it down. It will take minimal maintenance from the end of November until early March. But some chlorine will need to be added, pump run some, etc. If you can store it inside, probably best to take it down.

Thanks for your response. We can store it but our concern in storing it for the winter is the base we have it on. We're concerned that if we remove the pool, the base may shift so that we will have to completely redo all the work we did this summer to level it. However, if we leave it up, we're concerned about the vinyl liner getting too cold and cracking. Trying to weigh the pros and cons of each, and wanting to know what others in our area do and why.

The vinyl will not get too cold and crack. Folks that live where it really gets cold leave above ground pools up over the winter.

Personally, I’d rather add a little chlorine occasionally then go through the effort of taking it down and then putting it back up.
Amen to that !! The winter schedule makes it as easy as a SWG with a week or 3 between tweaks. It’s amazing that for once, storage is worse because the liner dries out and can crack and the rodents might eat it in the shed/garage.
