Pool slide water pressure issue

So I didn’t open the pool this year but last year was my first year of home ownership. I have a fiberglass slide that had broken hoses and missing nozzles so I figured I’d be able to fix it by buying one of the pool slide spray kits

After setting it up, the pressure was terrible.

I’ve since had some landscaping done and they had to cut the black poly tube that went under the concrete and went to the slide.

My questions are:
Why was my pressure so terrible?
Is it because of the thin clear tubing doesn’t let it provide enough pressure?
Or is my 1 HP pump not strong enough?
Should I Re attach the black poly tubing into the pvc and if so how?
Or should I knock out the tubing that is under the cement and start from scratch while I can before I have dirt added to my yard.

Distance from pump to slide is approximately 20-25 feet
Pool size is 20x40

You need to plumb in a valve on the pipe next to the slide pipe ( I marked on the pic with yellow to indicate where valve needs to be)
Installing valve will allow you to reduce flow to that line, and increase flow to slide line.
Or you could try blocking off one, or more, of the returns back to the pool (inside the pool there are usually 2 or 3 return eyeballs that return the pool water back to the pool from the pump ) even if you placed your hand over one of the pool returns you would probably notice more water distributed to slide, this simulates what a valve would do to regulate and direct more water to slide.

The pressure required to push water all the way to the top of the slide, is lost to the return line back to the pool, regulating the flow of water to the pool will provide more to the slide.
Just turning on a valve that goes to the slide is obviously not enough, you also need another valve to reduce flow to that line so the slide gets more.

That makes a lot of sense, thank you

I do have 2 eyeballs on the shallow end that push the water towards the deep end where the skimmers are. And some other thing the might be an eyeball that was plugged in the deep end near the ladder. Never unplugged it since I wasn’t sure if that was maybe a vacuum line or something.

Any recommendation on how to connect the black poly line to the white pvc line?
