In the middle of a heat wave in NYC, every day above 90. Can't touch any surface outside without getting burned. Poor dogs can't walk on the pavers. I wouldn't even try it without footwear. Even in the shade it's too hot. On the positive side, the pool is like bathwater. But I can't wait for it to drop down to the 80's in a few days!

I know people say it's not the heat, it's the humidity. But it's the heat, too. Anything above 89 is too hot for me, lol. Unless I'm in the pool, with a cold (non-alcoholic) drink in my hand.
I always remember a story my mom told me about my grandparents. They came here (to NYC) to join my mother in the late 1950s. They lived in Stuttgart, Germany, where the temps rarely reached 80. They arrived in summer, in the middle of a heat wave, and thought they had landed in Africa

Into a week now of low 100s with nights at 69-70 with a humidity high of 50 at dawn to the teens in the afternoon. No complaints from me.

low 100s?? That's pretty hot! Lower humidity certainly helps. I always liked visiting the western states for that. The high humidity we get around here makes summer my least favorite season.

Here is PA I'll go along with that. Except for swimming and it being the growing season, I'm not a great fan of summer at all. Less and less so as I get older.

I will say my buddy from college lives in Scottsdale. I loved going out there. Just beautiful. Hiking was just incredible. I would love to get my Jeep out there!

I love to visit warm climes, but I couldn't live there. And I actually love snow, and seasons.
