Water feature not cascading fully

Might be stalagmites forming. Can you slip a putty knife or spatula in there and slide it across and feel for smoothness?
Probably debris getting stuck in the slit. Is the water filtered?
Mine did that regularly. As Richard said, sliding a putty knife or some other thin metal object will clar it usually. Just don't push back into the slot too far or too hard.

Water Features - Broken Waterfall Stream
If you have gaps in the waterfall stream then debris has lodged in the opening of the waterfall or water flow is too low.
Use a credit card or similar object and gently position it inside the opening while the waterfall is on. Slide it along the opening to the point where the debris is located and gently pull the debris through the opening. Do not use a metal tool.
If there is no debris in the opening then clean the filter and filter basket and check the position of the flow valve to the feature.

Thank you all. It was debris (little stones). The credit card/putty knife did the trick.
Does the water go through the filter or is it on a separate pump with no filter?
If the water is not filtered, the problem will continue.

Mine was on the filter and it still happened on a regular basis.
I'm still mad Allen remined me no metal, use plastic. I had a plastic putty knife just for this.....
