Possible SWG Installation

Does anyone know if I would be able to install a SWG with my current filter plumbing setup? I know that I’d have to cut the pipe to install the SWG but my pipes are fairly short so I don’t know if I would be able to fit it.

I think you could if you find one that allows for vertical placement. It would be the last thing before the returning valve to the pool on that long vertical pipe.

Remember you want a cell at least 2x the pool's volume.

Ok, thanks. So just to make sure I'm clear. The verticle pipe that you are referring to is the one with the arrow. Correct?

Yes you are correct. The RJ30+ I am going to install this weekend needs 20” of pipe (approx) with the cell and flow switch. Other salt cells will be comparable. Also the flow switch could go elsewhere but I didn’t want to make more than one cut.

It looks like you would have the space needed as said above. On the off chance it didnt fit you could just add a loop off that vertical pipe with the arrow. You could buy the kit normally designed for vertical loops and turn it sideways to make it horizontal.
