    Filter was backwashed & rinsed on 6/27 after big rain and pressure has not changed since then, also hairnet in skimmer. 7:19 pool bottom still clean, no dust/dirt type of anything? Still not sure how long dead algae takes to settle to the bottom of the pool? Thanks, Mike

    Sand filter yes, finished vacuuming with intex auto vac at 10:00 am this morning, no manual vac today, have not ran the filter since 10:00 am - 2:30 pm now, and nothing has settled on the bottom of the pool. If it is dead algae, would it have settled by now? I have kept the filter off all day...

    Big rain last night, backwash then rinse to lower level, manual vacuum and again, backwash rinse to clean & get correct level, took off filter bag, 100% gone so far. Shall see how long it lasts? Mike

    Well, I put felt filter on the return and used the manual vacuum, then when done with the vacuum I let filter run for about 1/2 hour with the felt filter still on. Removed the felt filter from the return and ran the filter for an hour, and it seems 95% is gone, will vacuum one more time and see...

    Yep, I have the same problem here as well, I bought a felt filter 1 micron bag for water (only had felt filter for 3 days now). I cleaned the pool looked great, ran the filter with the felt filter on the return for 3 hours and nothing on bottom of pool, let it sit all day or over night still...
