Just wanted to give a final update to close the thread out - I am shocked that I was able to go from a swamp to a crystal clear pool. It really is that simple...thanks a ton!

Got the kit a day early yesterday but it was pouring all evening. Also missing the reagent needed to measure CC due to supply issues so for now I'm only going to be keeping track of FC and CYA until they are able to send it over to me. Very hot and sunny today! 1:50PM -> measured FC at 11.5ppm...

Still waiting for the kit, but trying as best I can to keep the SLAM going with the strips is going really well! Thought I'd post a progress photo - the clarity is really coming in! I can even see little leaves on the bottom of the pool now.

One more question for now! My pump has 2 speeds and I've just been running it at the high speed (3450rpm) 24x7. The low speed is (1725rpm). Should I keep it running @ high throughout this process?

OK will do. Should I worry about any of the other problems (low alkalinity/calcium hardness) or just focus on pH (if <10 ppm FC) and FC/CC for now until I complete the SLAM process?
