New Build - League City, TX

VERY happy with both the finish, and the builder. We have had zero issues with the equipment/construction. We did have a couple of user errors though..... We get TONS of compliments on the color as well. I can't give enough kudos to Pearland Pools. They did us right. They were...

    Scotts Bonus S?

New pool owner....first Spring coming up. I am "used" to using Scotts Bonus S with Fire Ant Killer for my lawn. It seems to work really well in Houston to battle the weeds and the ants that always seems to pop up. Normal application is done thru a simple wheel driven spreader. Any...

    New Pool Chemistry Question

Plaster was done on 6/28. The CYA test was done @ Warehouse Pool Supply. I have the TF Kit, but haven't ventured much past the FC and pH part of the testing.

    New Pool Chemistry Question

Our new plaster pool is puzzling the heck out of me..... Water tests as of Sunday: FC - 1.5 pH - 7.2 TA - Was at 40, so I added some baking soda to bring it up per the calculator. I haven't retested this yet. CYA - 80 We are using a rainbow feeder for now. I am running our pump from about...

    Finish Upgrade Question

We just finished up, and did the WetEdge Lune Quartz. Color was Pacific, but I think they call it Aruba now. We like it a lot. Great color and feel. In all honesty, we had some startup issues, mainly due to the ph being too high, and me not managing the water very well, so we ending up with...

Outdoor Shower- Do I need it?

We just finished up, and did not do an outdoor shower. We did do a garden spicket near the equipment, but in all honesty, its mainly for a foot wash. I think the PB tied it in with the auto-leveler line, so it didn't cost us a dime to add the spicket (I think the PB said it was a $2.00 valve...

Our little oasis is pretty much complete. Still need to do some landscaping, but we might wait until the Spring to do that. Not much use in trying to get something planted if we can't keep it alive... Updated pics :) Spray Decking Waterfall Items left: Waterfall - Not flowing real good...

New Build - League City, TX

Thanks! As best as I can tell, spraydeck is very similiar to Kool Deck. It is some sort of a multi-layer expoxy resin type "stuff". Here is the site that the PB gave us (we also had samples and real pics to look at). We choose the Sandstone color. http://www.poolworkstx.com/pages/decking.html...

    Pool size - feedback?

We are only a couple of days in to our pool, but I can tell you, that our boy and his friends are in hog heaven. Our pool, which is posted on here (New Build League City), is an "L" shape due to a detached garage and easements. The front leg is only about 8.5' x 36' long (3.5' to 5' deep)...

    New Plaster Startup Questions

Found my test kit :D Of course, it was the last place I looked... Ph was at 7.5 this evening, Fc was at 2. Looking good, so we splashed :) I also tested my CYA - and it is very, very low. Didn't even register in the tube, so if I had to guess, I would say it was in the 15 range. When I...
