Building Outdoor Kitchen....anchor base cabinet frame to slab?

We've been building a pool pavilion over the last year (Wall in back, bathroom/storage room on one side, outdoor kitchen on other side and open in front) and are finally at the tail end which is building the outdoor kitchen. We'll just have one straight 11' section of base cabinet for a sink...

    Bleach shortage

My local walmart had a 2 gallon limit of 7.5% from the start of pandemic but in the last couple months have removed the limit. Last summer I went through around 3 or 4 gallons a week. They seem to have the normal amount of product on the shelf when I picked some up last week (with a 4/21...

    Automatic cover control

Were you taking them to hardware stores that have a key making machine or to an actual locksmith shop? I only had one key and wanted to have spares made in case I lost it (I also bought a Tile key fob for the key ring to help ensure I don't lose it) but after taking it to a couple hardware...

Is there a big difference between the various Pool Blaster Max models?

I've got an attached spa in the corner of my pool and am getting some annoying sand/silt buildup in the spa at the base of the bench as well as at the entry stairs of the pool. I've got a Pentair Warrior robot that works great for everywhere in the pool except around the entry stairs (when I...

Anyone use SR Smith epoxy kit (or Simpson Strongtie SetXp epoxy) to install diving board base?

Well that's strange that Simpson Strong-Tie has two differing data sheets for torque for the product. Guess I should contact them to see what the deal is....hopefully the one that says 20 ft-lb is outdated or something.

Anyone use SR Smith epoxy kit (or Simpson Strongtie SetXp epoxy) to install diving board base?

Anchors are already epoxy set so it's too late for that unfortunately and I'd rather not drill another four set of holes. I guess I'm just confused why SR Smith would sell an epoxy kit for the Cantilever base that apparently doesn't allow you to torque the nuts to their own recommended...

Anyone use SR Smith epoxy kit (or Simpson Strongtie SetXp epoxy) to install diving board base?

So I've got an old (around 20ish years, installed when the pool was originally built by previous homeowner) SR Smith cantilever base and board. Board was old and ready to be trashed so I bought a new one (True Tread 8') and since the cantilever base was fine (just stripped the old paint and...

Anyone make a squeegee that attaches to a pool pole?

I looked into that one but it seemed a little spendy...$25 minimum order from that company and then $10 shipping. I found a similar one that was $15 but the reviews weren't great as someone people said it broke (would snap in half) if they applied too much force. I ended up ordering it and...

Anyone make a squeegee that attaches to a pool pole?

Now that we're well into the rainy season I've got a couple pool cover pumps set up. Water will collect in certain spots of the cover though without reaching the pumps so I've been pushing it around with a pool brush towards the pumps once every other day or so but this is annoying since I have...

My chlorine level barely moves now...due to cold temps?

These are all good things to hear....I was thinking I was gonna be adding every 5 to 7 days in the off season but if it's gonna be around 14 days between bleach adds that's even better. Gets real rainy around here in the winter so the less times I gotta mess around with removing my pool cover...

My chlorine level barely moves now...due to cold temps?

So we've considered the pool "closed" for the season due to wet and cold weather (although we haven't lowered the water level or anything....counting on circulation and the occasional heater usage to keep anything from freezing) since Nov 1st. I last added bleach on 11/4/20 bringing the FC...

Accidentally overdosed my LC, any issues for swimmers?

Went well...water felt perfectly normal to me...no sense of being too chlorinated just by swimming in it.

Accidentally overdosed my LC, any issues for swimmers?

Sounds good, thanks for the replies everyone...I figured it was gonna be ok but just wanted to double-check since this is my first year as a pool owner. I'll leave the cover closed to try and get that heat up

Accidentally overdosed my LC, any issues for swimmers?

7.9 pH 8.0 FC 0.5 CC 140 TA 30 CYA Doing an end of the season small swim party (8 to 10 people) and tested the water (with tf100) and I must have accidentally messed up my previous test and as a result overdosed (I have 3.0 logged in my previous test so I added 2gal of 6% afterwards) because...
