New Pool in Houston, TX - Completed August 2021

I’m in the Woodlands and had ALL of the same questions as you about 18 months ago when I was starting the build process. The responses here are great for educating yourself and hearing about people’s experiences, without any bias. Having never owned a pool before, I was reluctant about going...

HELP!! I'm in Dallas and my pool is still down waiting for parts and service; how to circulate the water

Agree with the sump pump. If you don’t have one, something like this would be worth it IMO.. it’s handy to have around. I use mine as an aeration cooler during the hot summer months. https://www.harborfreight.com/13-hp-submersible-utility-pump-2000-gph-63318.html

New geometric build - The Woodlands, TX

Thank you! The rocks are called Mexican beach pebble. They come in a lot of different sizes. We went with the 3” size range (although they do vary in shape and size) to hopefully keep them from ending up in the grass and on the deck, which has seemed to work well. They do stay put. The...

New geometric build - The Woodlands, TX

Hi Liz. We’ve been very happy with the rock salt finish. IMO, It’s more interesting than brushed concrete and compliments the pool and features well. It’s only a year old but so far it’s held up very well. The voids are not an issue in my opinion.. in the areas where we have planters, some...

What to be aware of when starting pool back up after freeze

I’ve found this ratcheting wrench to be invaluable when it comes to removing the drain plug on my Pentair CCP filter housing. https://www.homedepot.com/p/Husky-7-8-in-12-Point-SAE-Ratcheting-Combination-Wrench-HRW78/204759154?MERCH=REC-_-searchViewed-_-NA-_-204759154-_-N&
