I usually have a stenner pump pumping chlorine in the pool at night. I haven’t hooked it up yet since replacing the pump house. Started with new water. (0 chlorine). Last night pool math told me to add 99oz to bring fc level to 3. I added 256oz. Tested it tonight and still 0...

Is there any formula or chart to determine my gph. I have 1-1/2 pipe if that means anything. Doesn’t the pool need to turn over the water at least once a day.

Got pool up and going. Got the 3 hp. What’s a good speed for a 28000 gallon pool. Also can’t remember but what order do you go with chemicals starting with new water.

I tried when I posted the question. Said images was to big. I went ahead and sanded the rust off. Sprayed it with zinsser 1-2-3 and then rustoleum oil based paint.

Just removed my liner to replace it. Man what a job on a 33’ pool. Anyway there is red rust in around where the steps were and white rust around the pool. What would be the correct way to address this

I ordered the 3 hp pump. It has 2” ports but my skimmer and filter has 1-1/2 ports. Would it help any to change pipe to 2” then reduce down to 1-1/2 at filter and skimmer.

I don’t know what sounds right cause I don’t know. I’m just asking questions trying to learn before I make a purchase. Just trying to get a better understanding.

1.5hp is $445 3hp is $519

Would I be wasting money on a 3 hp vs pump when I only have 1-1/2 pipe. If I read it right I would never be able to run the 3 hp on high.

The 1.5hp has 1.5” port which my piping is. The 3 hp has 2”ports. Will it hurt the 3hp pumps longevity if I reduce it down to 1.5” pipe

Have 120v now but can add 220v. Checked out the calimar pump. They have it in 1.5 hp and 3 hp. Which one would I need.

With my old pump being 1.5hp. Does my new pump need to be equal or more in hp. Any suggestions on above ground vs pumps. Would rather not spend $1500 on one.

would a pump on low turn over 26000 gallons in a day. I read somewhere where you would run it on high for 8 hours then on low for 16 hrs. Also I would rather have something I wouldn’t have to manually switch over if I didn’t have too.

The 2 stage pumps I have looked at so far looks like you have to go manually switch between the two. Is that correct?
