    400 gallons per day loss

Bucket test is how I fixed my leaks. Then all you'll need is a divers mask, dye needle and some epoxy. Good luck.

Poor deck drainage under cage bottom plate and paver V grooves

I found a drill bit on amazon to drill it out. It actually worked pretty well. No damage to pool cage aluminum. It is a dewalt 3/16" x 12" high performance bit. I drilled out all the V groves and can now see through them. Here is what the bit looks like.

Poor deck drainage under cage bottom plate and paver V grooves

My deck used to drain well around my cage perimeter, through the V groves between the paver edges. About a year ago, I swept in some new sand with polymer to fill in some gaps between the pavers throughout the deck. Some of this sand w/polymer eventually worked its way under the cage bottom...

I'm unhappy with Pureline Pure Color Light

I do not like the bright spots that the LEDs project on the bottom. It does this with all colors. Not at all. What I have found with color LED's, some colors travel further than others. For example, red only travels through half the pool, green about 3/4, and blue travels very good through...

I'm unhappy with Pureline Pure Color Light

I had a Pentair incandescent white bulb and wanted some color. So I bought a Pureline Pure Color LED PL5815 (12v 18w) from inyopool and really do not like the way it projects light. As you can see and for all colors, the bulb emits bright spots from the bulb onto the pool floor. It does this...

Goldline AquaPlus water temp always two degrees off

RESOLVED Just an update that I replaced the glx-pc-12-kit thermometer for the in-line water temp and all is well!!! The old thermometer was a few degrees off and the new one is correct with my cell temp and floating pool thermometer. All three readings are the same. This was a very easy...

Goldline AquaPlus water temp always two degrees off

I thought about the sun and where my equipment is at and it is off regardless. So I don't think that it is sun related. I'm kind of a perfectionist and have everything dialed in, so this just bugs me. I ordered a replacement and will post my findings next week. Thanks for the feedback Jim and...

Goldline AquaPlus water temp always two degrees off

The "cell temp sensor" is correct and shows the actual water temperature (multiple water thermometers). The glx-pc-12-kit is what is off. Maybe I'll spend the 40 bucks to try out a new one.

Goldline AquaPlus water temp always two degrees off

Have a Hayward Goldline AquaPlus and the water temp displayed always shows 2 degrees too warm. I read the manual and cannot find a calibration setting. Does anyone think replacing the sensor (glx-pc-12-kit) would return me back to accurate? I know it is only 2 degrees but it has been bugging...

    Is there a leak?

The easy thing to do is a "pool bucket leak test". Also check around your pump and plumbing areas for leaks. Maybe leave your pump off for 24 hours to see if you still lose water.

    Travertine - grouting?

One thing to keep in mind with polymeric sand is that there needs to be a minimum grout space of at least 1/4". Even that is quite small. If there isn't adequate gap, polymeric sand will not set and people walking on it and rain and wind and everything else will just spread it all over the place...
