How do YOU drain a Pentair Quad filter that's sitting on a patio deck or walkway when you're changing the DE?

Taking a poll. Do you drain out the bottom plug or some other way? Where do you send the water? Tx

Calculating pH from number of drops of acid demand reagent?

Can anyone recommend a reliable meter that doesn't cost an arm and a leg? I remember buying one a few years ago for about $14 but it failed in about 4 months --- looked like corrosion --- made me wonder how credible its readings were up to that point.

Pool owner looking for a reverse osmosis system to reduce calcium hardness

I live in SoCal and calcium hardness is increasingly a big problem. Combination of no rain + increased evaporation from higher heat. And with the drought causing water restrictions, the old drain+refill option may be restricted... or even forbidden. I'm researching the reverse osmosis option to...

I need to replace the swivel assembly (see pic - upper part yellow highlight) on my KK. Is there a trick to removing the old assembly from the 2 drive tubes (lower parts yellow highlight)? I can think of a way ---involving a dremmel to split the female parts of the assembly so they loosen their...
