Thank you for this starting point, I will research more. Does freeze protection use low speed? I have a 2 speed pump, but low stopped working a while ago, maybe when I swapped out the controller board.

After looking closer at my 2 blue hoses, I realized this one went to the ozonator I unplugged years ago.

Wow, found one those in my brass bin, and some 1/4 NPT plugs. The o-ring squishes out, I will need a big washer, and the hose is a b!tch to get on past the tip. I'm gonna see if I can locate the correct union before plugging both ends.

The drain plug next to it does fit, SP4000P.
