Thanks for the quick response but I've got it figured out. I hit subscribe but then the app said I didn't' have a subscription. Then I logged out, closed the app out, logged back in and back in action! All good....Thanks!

    Pool Math........The App

I don't post much, but I use the app all the time. I sure do appreciate the efforts of the app as well as the information on the Trouble Free method. We always get compliments on how our pool water looks! Thank you!

Montgomery TX pool & patio build!

I may be interested in your injector setup. Where did you find the information on that and how difficult was it to install and dial in? Are you pleased with it thus far?

You should check your contract to see if the builder or you would be responsible for running a line for drainage (gutters/decking/overflow). My builder made it clear that they would run the line 10 feet’ from the pool. If I wanted it run further, that’s on my dime. Glad you are making progress!

New to Forums - Just signed to build a pool in The Woodlands, TX

Gotcha - I'm a beginner myself in the 1 1/2 years we've had our pool, so there are far more superior members of this forum that will set you straight. However, my thoughts....does that water drain towards your equipment area? Seems like that might be the issue. You will want to run that to...

Is that pipe not the overflow that leads to nowhere, and does the water somehow lead to your equipment area? If that pipe is the overflow, then you need to either create a rock bed underground or run the pipe to your street (probably preferable).

Houston we have a (pollen) problem

This is our second spring with our pool. This year seems to be much worse than last for the pollen. Thankfully with the storm on the way over the next day or so, most of our pollen issues should be gone afterwards...hopefully!!!

Pentair Racer - Line Float question....

My racer over the last couple of weeks started to fall over to a side and go round and round, getting tangled on the hose. After looking everything over, tightening and such, it occurred to me that the line isn’t floating as much and maybe the weight of the hose is the issue. This afternoon...

More post-Harvey test results. I think it replaced 50% of my pool!

We also took it on the chin with Harvey. Goodness. In total, we received just over 40" of rain throughout Harvey's visit. I got nervous when we lost power Sunday. We finally were restored power this afternoon so it was time to get to work. FC 6 CC 0 Ph 7.2 CH 125 (yikes) TA 30 (yikes) Cya 20...

Texas Coast & Inland - Balancing pool w Lot's of Rain

Lost power for a couple of hours. Pool water wasn't contained any longer, but now started to drain again. Rainfall now at 27.56 since Friday night. I brought up my FC to slam level and was at 10.5 earlier this morning, so I'm good there. I'll check again tomorrow.

Texas Coast & Inland - Balancing pool w Lot's of Rain

I tested the water moments ago. Everything looks good except my ch. I'm now way low. Went from 275 a couple of days ago to 175 this morning. My csi is at -.72 so that's concerning but once my ph rises it should be within the -.60 to +.60 range I think. I have a 5 lbs bag of ch increaser but...

Texas Coast & Inland - Balancing pool w Lot's of Rain

Now at 19.76 inches. Pool water barely under coping. I don't know that I can't run off faster than the rain. I might run a second hose off of a water feature pump. This is crazy, but there are so many people that have lost everything. So sad.

Texas Coast & Inland - Balancing pool w Lot's of Rain

My water level is back to just under the coping as well. I'm in Spring, too (off of Riley Fuzzel and Rayford). I went ahead and started up the pump to start draining again, along with the overflow during this "quiet period" of the rain. I show that we've received 9.89 inches of rain for the...
