I'm thinking with the pump off and people in the pool last night, a wave pushed it forward and slapped it back hard causing it to stick in the up position. I replaced both doors last year so they are fairy new.

I bet it would be. The new T-9 came with a sheet of paper explaining how to select the cell type on the control panel. Super easy. I didn't even have to look up how to do it. I'd guess if I hadn't, the higher voltage a T-15 needs would have burned out the cell fast.
