    Robot Pool Cleaner Guidance

I didn't want to start a new thread, but I wanted to give some info to those looking for a pool cleaner. I've been neglecting my pool a lot lately, and realized that I needed a pool cleaner. After going through the Forums here, I decided to get the Pentair Warrior SE. I've had numerous...

Bought a home- they drained the pool- what now?

I agree, that is a sprinkler timer and those are solenoid valves for a sprinkler system. The heat pump is for your home HVAC system, hence the copper pipes running up the side of your house to the evaporator (air handler).

Just a quick reply about the electrical connections going to the timer. The exposed Romex wire going to the timer is not a good thing. It really should be in conduit, preferably PVC. There are unboxed wire splices connected to what appears to be a light transformer. You should really...

Pool Cleaner for Small Pebble Surface pool

Hey Y'all, I read pool school on pool cleaners, however I am looking for some user suggestions. I have a relatively small pool with a pebble surface, and a dedicated suction port on the side wall. At our last house we had a Zodiac G-3 and we liked it (we named it "spike" because of the...

    W3T-CELL-15

So, after 3.5 years my T-CELL-15 appears to be dead. Salt levels are fine (3600ppm), however the panel is reading 2100 ppm, and generating very little chlorine. I've acid washed it on the appropriate stand a few times, same issue. I've been looking for a replacement, and of course checked...

    Suntouch Automation valves

Yes, replacing the ULN2803A fixed the problem. I had it on order from Digi-Key before posting, and was looking for some validation. Hopefully this helps out another TFPer in the future. I taught my 9 year old daughter how to replace it.

    Suntouch Automation valves

I ordered the 2803, and you are correct it was 24VAC, not VDC. Which makes sense because they tap voltage from a transformer. I ordered the part from digi-key, 5.03 after tax and shipping. I figure that since it is a socketed part it is the first component to go on the board. I made sure...

    Suntouch Automation valves

I have a question, I have a Suntouch automation system. And unfortunately two external wires got crossed and shorted. After that all of the valves and relays are measuring 25VDC on my multimeter. I pulled the board and noticed a socketed uln2803a opposite the connectors on the CCA. I...

    Suntouch and Aquarite SWG

One of my thoughts is if there was a relay that could take the RS485 commands for a second pump (cleaner pump maybe), and run it on the same schedule as my circulation system and run it in standalone mode. The AQR-15 panel is much more intuitive than the SolarTouch.

    Suntouch and Aquarite SWG

We bought a house which has a Pentair Suntouch Automation System. We had an Aquarite AQR-15 from our old house. The aquarite manual says that it can be controlled from a Pentiar system, so I connected it exactly as the aquarite manual said. When running, the "Remote Control" light on the...

    Air bubbles on Solar Heat

Thanks for the advice, I updated my sig to reflect pool number 2, which is the pool in question. It is a cartridge system which I have no experience in as pool #1 i s a sand filter. Looks like I'm opening up the filter this week to see how it looks.

    Air bubbles on Solar Heat

I am now a double pool owner for a few months until our old home sells. On our new home, I am noticing a lot of bubbling in the return jets when the solar heaters are on, but I am not seeing any water leaking out. My thought is that there must be a loose fitting somewhere where the water is...

Love the house, hate the pool.

I would bet one of those return pipes on the pad is dedicated to the in-floor cleaning system. I'd just plumb it in before the SWCG.

Love the house, hate the pool.

Kim, The 20k budget is self imposed, it’s what we reduced the purchase price by to re-do he abysmal state of the pool. I’m not sure what is under the stones, I hope it is a surface that we can attach standard pool tile to. That would make it easier to convince my sweet wife to convert it...

Love the house, hate the pool.

We are looking to re-model, hopefully with a 20K budget. Once we remodel, the table is GONE! You could tell that the original owners put a lot of money into the pool when they installed it in 2000. The automation system is an AquaLink RS-12. The current surface is a pebble surface. We are...
