High pH - won't come down

Originally put in 20 years ago, just did a large renovation Ok... so that wasn't the culprit. The pool is 20 years old but we just did a large renovation. New liner, equipment, convert from chlorine to salt. Did fill out my signature, thanks for the reminder. Not really sure why the pH got...

High pH - won't come down

I have been running my 2 hp pump 24/7 for the past 3 weeks since I am adding chemicals and what not. I've been meaning to set it on a schedule. I was a little reluctant to do so because I have no fail safe on the SWG right now besides the flow detector attached to it which I've heard isn't 100%...

High pH - won't come down

For the muriatic acid, any stuff will do? i.e. https://www.homedepot.com/p/Klean-Strip-Green-1-Gal-Green-Muriatic-Acid-GKGM75006/202690263 There is no "pool" muriatic acid right? Also when you say aeration do you mean too much or too little Test kit is K-2006 Current water: FC 5 pH 8+ TA 60...

High pH - won't come down

I've added bags of ph down, half a bag at a time... so far added two bags. I figured if the pH was red it was on the upper scale. It hasn't really come down. Am I reading this right that my ph is high? Just wanted to get a second opinion before I run out and get more ph down. All the other...

New stamped concrete decking - discolored

I saw it yes, it was dry and it did rain some but not a ton. The concrete guy didn't really know what to make of it but they are going to try to remove and reapply the sealant.

New stamped concrete decking - discolored

Did a lot of new decking around my pool as part of a renovation. The concrete has been done for a couple weeks. See pictures... the coloring seems off especially around the joints. I was hoping after a couple of days of drying it would go away but doesn't appear to be. I am going to reach out...

    Electrical box config

Thanks for the reply. As I am doing some reading I am realizing that the SWG needs to know when the pump is running. The B&D pump I have is variable speed. It's default schedule has it running 18 hours in a day (8am to 2am) then taking a 6 hour break. The issue with the mechanical timer is when...

    Electrical box config

I am doing a pool renovation and am updating the electrical box I am going to remove the two timers in my box - don't really use them for anything. The new pump I got is a black and decker and has a controller attached to it. Don't really see the need for the timers in here.... thoughts? I...
