    White chalk line Fibreglass pool

Just an update. I've had the water at the regular level now for 3 days and it still looks as new condition. It's almost looks the fibreglass shell has a different coating on the regular water line compared to under the water line. I may contact the manufacturer to clarify this issue. I'm sure...

    White chalk line Fibreglass pool

Hi all, I recently dropped my pool water level about 2-3 inches to assist while I repaired some caulking (silicone) under the coping paver (tile). After a couple of days the dry part of the shell above the water line turned faint white. Wouldn't rub off and the normal shell colour restored if...

    New Pool Owner—green again.

Hi, Welcome to TFP. Your test results look like pool store results? They cannot be trusted. It will be impossible for the forum users here to give your correct advice with incorrect results. You need to get a proper pool test kit and test the water yourself so that the results can be...

    Early stages Algae bloom

OK, got it. I'll maintain FC at 10-12 instead of 8 and see how we go from there. CYA is 60. Every pool is different and I might just need more FC. I have read on other threads that some pools require >12 FC to remain crytstal clear long term.

    Some algae problem

That rock waterfall looks great, but a nightmare to keep clean! Have you considered using a high pressure washer to clean where you cant access a brush or similar? Just need to be mindful of not getting foreign matter into the pool. If you can't test and add liquid chlorine daily, then a SWG...

    Early stages Algae bloom

The other day I noticed my water was ever so slightly off. Just didn't have that 'gin' clear look in the deep end. I did an OCLT and yes, lost 1.5ppm FC. CC zero So I started a SLAM. Water back to gin clear in less than 12 hours, with some visible dead algae which was vacced to waste...

    Some algae problem

Welcome to TFP ANash. You have great advice here. If you follow TFP and listen to these guys you will be on your way. I too was new to pool ownership and I was well and truly 'Pool Stored'- that is, screwed by them. Anyway, now I follow TFP and it's easy. I test regularly and feel in...

New member, New POOL! Hi Trouble Free Pool!!

OCLT passed with zero loss. Letting FC drift back down now after 6 days at slam. The pool was my life for a while, brushing, vaccing, scrubbing. Filter cart's and filter housing deep cleaned several times. Everything is sparkling. Fingers crossed I got it, will just keep a close eye on it.
