Unfortunately from everything I’ve read if it is raccoons, chlorine doesn’t help with the eggs that can be in droppings. I’m aiming to filter everything out of the water.

Thanks! It’s seems like you did all you reasonably can. As my family has pointed out, we’d have to never leave the house to 100% avoid raccoons.

I’m in the same situation and wondering what the OP did? We had something poop right in the middle of my mesh cover over the winter. I cleaned it up before googling “what animals will poop on pool covers?” 😬 I’ve read the cdc guidelines and was planning on running the filter for a few days...

The water in the pool is cloudy after the pump being off for 24 hrs earlier in the week because it was being worked on.

My pool needs one and a half bags of powder shock. I read on another site you shouldn’t keep the leftover shock. Is this true? Right now it’s in the box it came in with a clip on it stored in a plastic storage box.

Thanks. I understand the lighting concern, I’m going to put solar floaters lights in if we do disable it and also add some solar lighting around the deck. For the light bonding. If the niche etc isn’t properly bonded would that be something that is only accessible under the concrete deck?

I’m trying to determine what in my pool needs to be bonded. It appears the pump is bonded but I am not sure about the pool light or ladder. I’m going to have an electrician dead the pool light ( we never use it) and I’m hoping this would cancel out the potential need to dig up concrete to bond...
