No Chlorine, but everything (to me) checks out

Showing a little chlorine today. Hoping you guys are correct. Maybe the cell is starting to win the fight against algae.

No Chlorine, but everything (to me) checks out

Thanks for the input. We are planning to do the overnight chlorine loss test. Never done it before. PH 7.5 TA 85 Cal 125 Salt 3300 FC 0 TC 0 CYA 15 Today, I plan to raise calcium and CYA. I've hesitated on CYA in case we have to resort to using tabs. We will brush and shock this evening.

No Chlorine, but everything (to me) checks out

So no chlorine generation. Pool Pilot. We've added lots of chlorine at start up to clear things out. Water is not perfect, but very clear. Pool store only recommended us shocking it, which we have a couple times already this season. I've navigated numerous cell issues in the past, but can't...

Tri-Sensor reading very low for salt.

I just won a battle with my Autopilot APA0003 Tri Sensor. I tend to break more than I fix and this looked to be going the wrong way at first. Hope this helps someone. My sensor was reading 1000-1400 salt when it was 3000. I thought, why not clean the cell and the sensor? I have never touched...

Autopilot Low Amp Cell warning- erratic voltage readings

Any improvement? My pool is not producing chlorine or at least not enough. Not sure what to do. Booster pump burst a hose. Got to replace that. Gonna replace the pump at the same time. Hope you're doing better than I am.

Autopilot Low Amp Cell warning- erratic voltage readings

Now mine is showing low volts. It worked for a week. This is driving me crazy! I'm not sure which direction to go at this point. Your .5 amps is incredibly low. If you're getting chlorine, I guess that's all that matters. It really shouldn't be such a mystery. Good luck!

Autopilot Low Amp Cell warning- erratic voltage readings

So sorry. My family loves the pool, but I'm not sure what I think about it. It's tough to enjoy when it's constant work. Hope you get it rolling soon. I think mine is producing some chlorine. It's tough to tell since I put tabs in while it was down.

Autopilot Low Amp Cell warning- erratic voltage readings

Got a new cord. Reading went from 27 v .5 amp to 20v 3 amp. Now it's saying check cell. Having a pool is endless joy. :)

Autopilot Low Amp Cell warning- erratic voltage readings

It's not babble. It's locking arms in the trenches of pool ownership. I ordered a new cord. It was definitely having problems. Might not fix it, but I'll be one step closer. Here is a link to a picture. The union screw is on the opposite side of the cell. It says clean regularly...

Autopilot Low Amp Cell warning- erratic voltage readings

Harlequin, sorry you didn't get a straightforward answer. Hope you get it lined out soon. Question for either of you. I was wondering how often the union screw needed to be cleaned out? I'm not sure what this is. Is it a filter?

Autopilot Low Amp Cell warning- erratic voltage readings

We have a great pool store nearby that will test your water and let you know what you need to get the chemicals right. They don't over do it with all kinds of additives. That would help you get started. Once you get the hang of it, it's not too bad. PoolMath on here is helpful. This low amp...

Autopilot Low Amp Cell warning- erratic voltage readings

I've been dealing with this as well. I've posted on here a couple times, but this seems to be one of those things that most folks don't understand as well as things like chemicals. My cell, actually I should say system, started the summer with the low amp readings. Temp and and salt level were...

Not producing Chlorine. Read related posts. Can't figure it out. Please help!

It's vinyl. Thanks for checking. Haven't had a pool for long. Stumbled through it last year and hated it. Trying to get on top of it this year.

Not producing Chlorine. Read related posts. Can't figure it out. Please help!

Thanks guys. Today the pump is running, but the generator says "OFF" The temperature is 68 degrees. I think it cuts off at 60 or 65 degrees. Is there a chance that I have an obstruction in the pipe going to the SWG. I read something about generators cutting off if flow was too little. If...

Not producing Chlorine. Read related posts. Can't figure it out. Please help!

Thanks! I had a gallon of Chlorine on hand and put it in. I'll be out of town for the next day or two. I'll start the program this weekend and see what happens.
