    Intex U support leg slanted

Moving the base of the leg an inch to the right would most likely solve my problem, but I’m not sure how to do that. You might be able to see in the picture that the U support is not centered on the restrainer strap. The other U supports are straight and the low part is just the area supported...

    Intex U support leg slanted

I believe they were all round pools. I wouldn’t try it out of fear of injury and catastrophic failure of the pool or lining. I’m trying to avoid draining the pool if at all possible. I also understand a collapse would have several bad consequences.

    Intex U support leg slanted

I used the pavers for the same reason, planning to keep it up year round. The wood would have decayed over time. I do understand that it is a vinyl AGP not designed to last forever. I also felt the 16x16x4 pavers provided a stronger base. The one U support seems to be the only one that...

    Intex U support leg slanted

We have a 12x24 Intex rectangular pool. A landscaper excavated and leveled the area before we set it up so I’m confident the ground is level. One corner is now 1” lower than the others. I think it is due to the concrete pavers settling slightly off level slanting away from the pool. The U...

Intex 12x24 new install - Dropping 1 foot into ground

I would love to see some pictures! Now that the pool is up, we have been looking at different options for a deck off one side. I’m also thinking about an angled wall around the rest to keep the water away from the hole. We are really just excited to be able to dream about the options while...

Intex 12x24 new install - Dropping 1 foot into ground

The stone dust ended up as the base under the insulation because the guy I had doing the excavation brought it and laid it down. No other real reason. The ground is fairly level to begin with and the runoff is fine so I’m not worry about drainage or pooling. We very rarely have standing water...

Intex 12x24 new install - Dropping 1 foot into ground

As I look at the ground excavation in the backyard, I’m starting to realize that the stone dust base layer with foam insulation board on top is going to only leave a few inches depth between ground level and the leg support pavers. I’m guessing between 6 and 8 inches at most. I’m going to...

Intex 12x24 new install - Dropping 1 foot into ground

I’ve seen a couple of those, but they go well beyond my skill level (and monetary investment). I was hoping to get the pool set up and filled, then backfill the void with sand or stone dust to level the area. I have found advice and videos of people framing it out, then decking to the side of...

Intex 12x24 new install - Dropping 1 foot into ground

Like most of the world we have purchased a 12x24 Intex Ultra XTR for the backyard. In an effort to lower the sight line of the pool surface (for safety and aesthetics) I am planning to excavate down a foot on level ground, then install the pool. Does anyone have experience with backfilling the...
