Just an update - disassembled the ladders steps, cleaned ladder and steps with diluted bleach and thankfully all went well. Finally done with my slam and pool is looking great. Thanks again!

I don’t think there is any water in it other than the occasional rain water. My concern is primarily the interior portion since it’s one of those A frame plastic ladders. The outside will definitely get a healthy bleaching.

backstory - I’ve been slamming my above ground pool for about 3.5 weeks. The pool was last used in the summer of 2018. I opened it in 2019 but never treated it and unfortunately left it open all summer and winter. It was so bad that there were things swimming in it. I wish I took pictures lol...

I have been Slamming at 12...... when I said 9, I meant the chlorine level never fell below 9 while slamming. Whenever it dropped below 12, I always added chlorine to get it back up to 12. pretty sure I’m free and clear at this point, been keeping chlorine at slam levels this whole time. i’m...

Looks like I can probably do the OCLT test soon. we’re expecting rain for the next couple of days. Is it better to maintain slam level until the rain eases up? Progress picture:
