Best Places to Buy Liquid Chlorine

I should've asked for the price match but was in a hurry buying some other items at HD. Maybe I'll return the three 4 packs I didn't touch.

Best Places to Buy Liquid Chlorine

Just picked up 16 gallons of 10% at HD. $36x4. Seriously looking at SWG... Just saw Wally World has them $5.47/g

Should I replace a diverter valve or buy replacement parts?

So I'm still trying to determine which model I have ( I'll get a better look tomorrow) but also want to get advice on whether I should purchase a new valve or replace the guts. The handle is broke and has been for a few years since purchasing the home. The set screw can't be found either. I'm...

Best Places to Buy Liquid Chlorine

There was a full pallet there untouched when I went there this afternoon. I usually only go there for gasoline but went inside because I was on my last bottle of HD chlorine. Nabbed 24 gallons. This is what they have at my local. Julian date 127, not too bad...

Best Places to Buy Liquid Chlorine

Home Depot has been hit or miss, more miss lately. Went and visited BJs and they had 4gal of 12.5% for $16.99. May be the first place I look now.

Robots look awesome.. but really needed?

The robot came with the pool and it looked like it had some years on it. It just broke after the second year of me using it. I took out a IC chip and soldered it back in for it to work for three more weeks until it gave up the ghost.

Just opened my dark green swamp pool!

I would only use liquid chlorine and not touch any pool store products. Ensure you're backwashing your filter as it will catch the dead algae after the chlorine kills it. Don't be discouraged at the amount of time it takes. Trust the process. It is the most economical and trusted way to get...

    CyA kicking my rear

Everyone here is going to recommend not trusting a pool stores readings ever. Getting the test kits recommended here is going to save you a lot of time and money and give you immense satisfaction once your pool is clear and knowing you don't need to drop $$$ at a pool store.

Robots look awesome.. but really needed?

I lost my robot cleaner two years ago, I'm on the fence on getting another one. Brushing the pool is cathartic but it does take some time out of my day.

    Constant Backwashing

Partly masochists. You could've swapped your sand out like me in August.

Best Places to Buy Liquid Chlorine

Since the HD app no longer tells you when pool chlorine is in stock I got there at 7am to find they had a shipment come in last night. Happily loaded up 20 gallons of liquid. Not a single bucket of pucks in sight. I prefer liquid anyway.

    Constant Backwashing

I usually do it until I see my sight glass run clear, then rinse it for a minute.

    Another Slow Slammer

I just read the entire thread. I'm happy for you that you're seeing progress. You'll have that pool ready for memorial day! Pool stores suck.

    Sand and dirt

It took me a while to figure out what I was doing after leaving the pool store. You'll soon find that you'll save a lot of $$ instead of dropping $100+ dollars on Saturday mornings trying to get your pool right with their readings. I'm convinced the pool store wants your pool readings to be...
