    Intex salt cell dis-assembly

Hi all, was wondering? I replaced the cell on my intex cs8110 and all seems well. However I would like to tear apart the old one and see if I can figure out why it went bad. Has anyone took one apart and not totally destroyed it? If so I would sure like to know, Just for fun really.

    Intex Cs 8110 Parts

Ya know. I kinda wonder if the gallon rating really means anything in the first place. the way I figure it, most of the killing power of the generator takes place in the pipe on the way back into the pool. as long as you can turn the water over it should keep it in range I would think? But I...

    Intex Cs 8110 Parts

Yeah sadly. I did find a place on eBay that has a bunch of the newer versions either used or open box with a 14 day no haggle return policy??? So I though I would roll the dice and try so I bid 50 bucks on one and got beat buy a dollar. IDK, guess I should just eat the shipping and buy a new cell?

    Intex Cs 8110 Parts

That was the first thing I did. And no. I am still getting a little bit right up by the plug, but I have to get a flashlight in the dark and shine it up from the bottom to see them.

    Intex Cs 8110 Parts

Yeah, I'm pretty sure. Thing has worked flawless for about 2-3 years. can't remember really. Anyway I started getting the low salt errors even after cleaning so I checked the salt level and got about 2850 ppm. I raised it up to just about 3000 and no luck. So I did the bypass thing and that...

    Intex Cs 8110 Parts

Hi all. I was wondering if anyone has salt cell for an Intex CS 8110 laying around. Mine after 3 seasons has bit the dust and intex wants half the price for shipping it than the price of the part. The Part # is 11374, I was hoping someone might have one before I break down and just order it. I...

Pentair Dynamo 1.5 hp stopped working

Ok. Would a shot of contact cleaner do it or would I need to sand them off if there's any corrosion?

Pentair Dynamo 1.5 hp stopped working

Sorry it took so long to respond. No capacitor in it that I can find, It does have a terminal block in it for the ac line and the switch-Maybe that could be it. Now it does have what acts like a clutch that spins in and engages when it starts. Once it was running on the bench it sounded normal...

Pentair Dynamo 1.5 hp stopped working

Was doing my routine maint and shut the pump off, went to restart it and it just hummed. Typically I would say the capacitor was shot but can't find one on it? Funny thing is I decided to go ahead and close it for the winter amd worry about it in the spring, so I pulled it off. Plugged it in on...

    Pondering SWG's and other things

That is certainly true. I have to lower it just about every other week or so. But nobody has yet to answer the question about what happens to the bubbles?:D

    Pondering SWG's and other things

Ok I understand I Think? But am I right in assuming that the hydrogen gas bubbles just end up floating to the top and get released into the air? Not that it really matters at all. I just remembered 8th grade science class when we broke down water into Hydrogen / oxygen gas using pretty...

    Pondering SWG's and other things

OK i have a 2 fold question? A. Since a SWG breaks down salt to produce chlorine, Does it not by default break down the water (h2o) into hydrogen and oxygen gas ? And if so do the Molecules re-combine to create h2o again or do they simply discharge into the air. B. What is the purpose of using...

    My Bright Idea?

Here's what I did one time. Got a bunch of those puff ball things from someones cotton wood tree in the pool. I took a plain old coffee filter and put it in the skimmer basket.
