Thanks, glad to know we're at least doing it right. I suppose I could just try to find a new O ring for the little black plug piece, but it just seemed like it was set far in, and not necessarily a normal O ring. It could just have been thicker. You could also add Poly 60 before closing. That helped me open to a clear pool last spring (or at least I attribute it to helping).

look into the little giant with the extra arm attachment. I just kept it on all last winter and it pumped water out as needed.
