So I sham the pool this week. It was taking about a quart of LC each time I checked, to keep it at SLAM level. Did the overnight chlorine test and chlorine was good..no loss. Pool is clear. I tested for FC though and there is no FC. Not sure why or how to fix that. Thank you. Fc right now...

So I checked out the CYA/FC chart. At a CYA of 40, the FC should be at a minimum of 5, which is 5.5, so I don't need to add any liquid chlorine now? Correct? Just keep checking the FC and make sure it doesn't go below 5. The app used to show you the numbers for the SLAM process but it doesn't...

So last night the Fc was 7.5 CC 0. This morning FC is 5, CC 0 There were a couple of pucks in the floating chlorinator/thermometer that was in the pool. I didn't see it yesterday.

Do you have a heater in your pool? Mine is way too cold even now at 74 lol. I didn't know that about the pucks. Will probably not use them this year. Do you use liquid chlorine?

FC right now is 7.5 CC is 0 Will test again in the morning. There is no chlorine in the chlorinator yet so that doesn't have any effect.

It gets hooked up to where the water comes out of the filter before going back into the pool and you add 5"ish chlorine tablets to it. So when the filter is on, the water gets chlorinated as it goes thru the filter. Ours is the inline hookup.

The pool would need to be heated from the end of May til probably the middle of June and then from the end of August until mid...

Opening of Pool - Chemical Balancing

So if I use liquid chlorine, I should aim to keep it between 3 and 7, I guess with 5 being optimal? Now I just wait til it gets to that level and then maintain it from there? Thank you for your help.

That's what we've been using the past 20 years lol. I'm not sure what the tablets are. Is there something else we should be using?
