Never buy INTEX type A filter again

Well I have been using the new filter that I referred to in my previous post and I have had better results from this filter rather than the Intex filters. The flow is much better through the new one and I have had better filtration. :whoot:

Never buy INTEX type A filter again

I hope everyone is enjoying their summer. I wanted to add to the thread about the type A filter that I found today. It was previously posted in this thread to purchase the C-4607 filter; however, it can also be found as the FC-3710 by what looks to be Filbur. It is the same filter just under...

    OTO or DPD?

I don't use shock at all. Just the BBB method :goodjob: Is there any preference as to which test kit to get for just the FAS-DPD test??

    OTO or DPD?

I was just looking at the Taylor website and I can just order the R-0870 powder and the R-0871 drops for the FAS-DPD test kit instead of ordering the entire kit.

    OTO or DPD?

I went to my local pool store (Pool and Spa Depot) and asked to see if they maybe carried the FAS-DPD test and they didn't have any idea what I was talking about. I tried to explain to them what it was and the man behind the counter told me, "We don't get that technical." I was taken aback and...

    OTO or DPD?

I cant seem to find a definite answer and was wondering if you only have either an OTO or DPD test kit (like I do) which one would be better to use? :?

    Census Poll on Intex Users

I agree. Next year I am going to purchase the 2 or 3 inch styrofoam sheets from Lowes and gorilla tape them together and see how that works. I have heard it works well. :D Yesterday I went to our illustrious pool store (Pool and Spa Depot) and asked if they maybe carried the FAS-DPD test kits...

    Census Poll on Intex Users

We have had an Intex pool for three years now and we love it. We realize that some see these as a "kiddie" pool but they are a lot of fun none the less. We upgraded to the 20' Ultra Frame pool and couldnt have been happier. I leveled the ground out as best as I could by hand. After we...

    Anyone have Intex Ultra Frame 16 x 32 x 52

I know it is a little late to be replying to this but I found the 20' Intex Ultra Frame pool at WalMart and love it so far. So much better than the previous 15' metal frame intex pool we had the last two years. It was so worth the extra $$$ to purchase it. If you have any questions you can...

Qustion for intex metal frame users

I wouldnt worry bout the one to two inches off but after this season i would do my best to level it as best you can. I use old shelves i had in my garage and cut them into 4"x6" squares and then place industrial rubber strips over the wood so as to not have any sharp edges against the liner...

    Census Poll on Intex Users

Having an Intex thread here would be really great! It would be nice to see some new ideas coming from Intex pool owners. Oh!! I found the 20' Ultra Metal Frame pool at Wal-Mart. They have them there every now and again so you have to keep an eye out for them. I paid $499 for it there...

    Census Poll on Intex Users

We have had an Intex pool for 3 years now. The first two years we had the 15' metal frame pool and just this year we bought the 20' Ultra Frame! It's great for the little bit of extra money to spend. We do have plans of buying a "real" AGP or IGP someday but we know that this is our first...

    Weeds around edge of pool

Ok! Sounds good. I wasn't sure if it would hurt the liner or not. Your thoughts on using the cardboard to prevent over spray is a good idea. I will definitely use it. I'm hoping to just alleviate the task of removing all the grass by hand I cant get to with the weed eater and of course to...
