When do I attach/install pool cleaner?

I don't see any reason you can't toss it in right away. When I had my pool resurfaced, I put mine in right at startup. Maybe someone else that's more knowledgeable can chime in? Your new pool (and yard) look great by the way! I didn't know there were any houses in Chandler with lots that big!

Pool equipment and breaker box inside shed which is being dismantled...

Your pool equipment should be perfectly fine outdoors, and most electricians should be able to handle any re-wiring that is required. I would recommend some sort of cover to protect the equipment from being in the sun at all times, but this likely is not as much of an issue in MA.

Skin feels drier after adding SWG, not sure why?

Just kidding - I just saw that you use softened water for your fill water in your signature. CH probably isn't an issue then.

Skin feels drier after adding SWG, not sure why?

I can't say I have noticed a huge difference in mine, but I do think it feels a little softer. I definitely don't think my skin feels more dry though. Just trying to think outside the box - What is your CH at? I know we tend to have a lot of calcium in our fill water in AZ - maybe really high CH...

    Hydrogen buildup in Spa line?

Thanks Marty - will do. I wasn't sure if I should be more concerned about the built up hydrogen - I read an old thread earlier about a pipe explosion!!

    Hydrogen buildup in Spa line?

I got my new SWG installed over the weekend and couldn’t be happier to have finally made the switch! I have noticed something very strange though… Ever since I put in the SWG, when my pump is running at its low speed (1550 rpms), I have noticed the volume of water flowing over my spa spillover...

Least favorite/favorite part of pool maintenance?

Mine used to be cleaning the skimmer socks - Even though it only takes a few minutes, I hated taking them out, trying to spray all of the dog hair out of them with the hose, and then putting them back in. Especially the one in the vacuum line because it's a pain to get the leaf canister open...

How often do you swim this time of year?

Every afternoon! And usually multiple times per day on the weekends - It's the only way to stay cool in Phoenix! It's also one of the few ways the dogs can get exercise when it's so hot out.

Flow Switch Location w/ Attached Spa

Hi Everyone, I am planning on installing my new SWG this weekend (CircuPool RJ-60 Plus), and I am trying to figure out the best way to plumb everything in. I have an attached spillover Spa with a pretty simple plumbing setup. The filter output goes to a 3-way Jandy valve and sends water to the...

    Way worse than I expected....

What company was that? I'm thinking either RO or I can keep an eye on the weather and try to drain on a cooler day. I wish I would have figured this out a few days ago because it was nice and cool yesterday. I'm hesitant to do a differential drain because I would hate to waste even more water...

    Way worse than I expected....

I just did 3 parts tap and got about 70, so that would put me at a CYA of about 280

    Way worse than I expected....

I was so excited - my TF-100 came in! I couldn't wait to use my new speedstir! "My pool is perfectly clear, how bad could it be?" I thought to myself.... FC: 5.0 CC: 0.5 PH: 7.5 TA: 180 CYA: 200+ CH: 725 I even diluted the pool water 1:1 with tap water for the CYA test, and the black dot...
