Thanks for the replies. My water turnover is good but as one of you mention I have no surface water movement. I tried to measure and it seems like the hole is around 1.25 wide. Looking at the fitting I have that is 1.5in I don't think sanding it down would work.

I tried this and no luck. Do you think wd-40 might loosen it up enough to pull out? It really seems jammed in there I can't even get it to twist at all.

Does skimlite offer any type of warranty on these poles? That's a lot of money down the drain if I am no longer able to extend it.

I've had this pole for about a year now and I just got finished cleaning the pool the other day and shortened the pole. Today I went to extend it but it won't budge. I tried twisting and it seems stuck. Any ideas on what could be wrong?

Update for today. I filled the pool yesterday and it went over night with no water loss at all. Turned the equipment back on around 7am today as so far water levels remained the same and no leaking above the backwash hose behind the pool shed. Hopefully that means the only leak is in the return...

Yes I believe the MPV is below grade.. Update: Overnight the water remained at the level right below my return line. Filled the pool up today and now going to let it sit overnight without the equipment running and the one return line plugged and see if I lose any water. No water leaking...
