    IceShadow - SWCG Thread

I think you are really close. I see you mention using neutral. Is either your pump or SWG using 120V? My SWG can be jumpered to use either. In the schematic shown, 240v is used by all and no neutrals are used.

How do you remove motor from Hayward SP2300VSP Max-Flo VS pump?

Ah.. I imagined that this could have been a "new to you" situation, but you have quite a bit of history with this one. Mine isn't 10 years, but you might be showing me what might be eventually in my future. Good luck!

    Water Temp On Startup

I do a staged opening. I have a mesh safety cover but get the water flowing and balanced weeks before that comes off. I also have a robot that is happy to clean if the pool if functional or not. As for your question.... I get the water flowing and balanced as the water temp approaches 60...

How do you remove motor from Hayward SP2300VSP Max-Flo VS pump?

I have that pump and have been very happy with it for years. Hopefully it is just the reconnecting the L2 (and as much cleanup as possible) and your up and working.

    IceShadow - SWCG Thread

You may want others to chime in since I haven't done this (I have an external timer). With a quick look around, I found this recent comment that looks pretty helpful. current sensing relay help My brief explanation.... the pump, relay, and SWG all need power. They share the same L1 and L2...

    IceShadow - SWCG Thread

When installing SWG with VSP /w internal timers, you can use current sensing relays to measure if the pump is running and only power the SWG while it is on. It's less useful if pump is scheduled for 24/7 runtime, but gives better protection than just relying on the flow switch. Search "SWG...

    Help with union repair

Yes.... I have a T-15 cell that had the unions crack. I used that same Part # (0121109020), though different product link: https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B0030C3P4S Installed them at the beginning of the season last year and has been fine since then. I won't vouch for that being the right...

You guys are killing me with these opening threads!

This is my method as well. Variable speed pump really cuts down on the electric cost of "opening early" or "closing late". 1) Robot to early clean 2) When water is close to crossing the 60 degree mark, plumbing and chem balance with cover in place (SWG or tabs... what ever I feel like) 3)...

    Circupool SI-45 cell replacement options

Circupool is already a rebadge. I am wondering if there is anything that locks me into "circupoool" branded T-15 cells or if I can open my search a bit for better deals from other reputable brands.

    Circupool SI-45 cell replacement options

I have a Circupool SI-45, that's on its 8th season. Still seems to be going strong, but am considering purchasing another cell to have on hand when that one gives out. One of the big buying points was that it was that it used a T-15 cell. My assumption was that anything T-15 could be used as...

Ordered wrong cartridges for Prowler 830

Well.... I have: Pentair Prowler 830 = Dolphin Triton (2016 and Prior) = Dolphin DX6 = Dolphin Premier = Dolphin Edge = Dolphin Thunder 20 which needs 9991425-r4 ultra fine cartridges. I thought I was getting a great ebay deal until I realized I miss-ordered and got the 9991422-r4 instead...

New User - Q About Circupool Core 55

Pump manufacturers really need to consider having terminals (either line voltage or just a close relay) if the pump is running. It would make it so much easier to correctly wire SWGs. They probably don't because it might cut into their pricy automation systems. I've read about others try to...

    Hello from Potomac MD

DJ, Welcome! There's several MOCO people on this forum. For winging it it seems you have done quite well for equipment upgrades. We also did VSP, SWG, and a robot and has REALLY made things easy. Until the booster pump actually dies, its outlet has turned into a chemical addition disperser...

Texas Freeze Damage - Post #7,254

I still can't vouch for them since I haven't installed them yet, but people claim that these replacement split unions work. Might save a lot of pvc work, if nothing else has to be done. Split Nut unions? Any reason not to order these for my T-Cell repair?
