I had my pool re-plastered at year. I was only concerned about ph last year. This year, I noticed long white calcium deposits. Finally got around to checking everything, all good except calcium is off the charts! Any options? The calcium comes from the tap water (dishwater has calcium scale)...

Sounds easy, it isnt. I think you would have to rebar and cement in that space ($approx 4,000/per pool company) and then tile with whatever you want. I would have been happy to just replace the 6 glass blocks...

No solution yet, I still think about it contantly. Ill have to do something this winter but no idea of what yet....

Not sure if i trust cement in that opening without rebar but thanks for the ideas. btw, the house came with the glass block spillover...although I did think they were different, sorta cool years ago when I bought the place!

yeah, thats an option I havent thought of. I was thinking using blocks or even rocks since I cant match it.

One company said they would only replace block with a pool resurface, another said they would cement and retile. Im not thrilled with the cement idea with no matching title available. Couple other said no and one company Ive been begging for months for an estimate....

blocks are like 8x8x4" thick but I couldnt get matching tiles several years ago for repair. They are like 20+ year old pattern.
