    Calcium off the charts

ok guys, surprised myself. The RO town water is 100 calcium. I did read someplace that high levels could be from plaster. ...and in central gulf coast Florida we are down about 8" or more from average summer rain. Dry summer. I assumed it was coming from adding water. nope. I test 3x weekly for...

    Calcium off the charts

I had my pool re-plastered at year. I was only concerned about ph last year. This year, I noticed long white calcium deposits. Finally got around to checking everything, all good except calcium is off the charts! Any options? The calcium comes from the tap water (dishwater has calcium scale)...

    Glass block spillover replace ideas?

Sounds easy, it isnt. I think you would have to rebar and cement in that space ($approx 4,000/per pool company) and then tile with whatever you want. I would have been happy to just replace the 6 glass blocks...

    Glass block spillover replace ideas?

    Salt water conversion

well, Im gonna check out the stenner system as an option. This is year six, just replaced the cell...again. Im running year round down here, 9hrs a day, a bit less in the winter. Pool is never closed. I usually run the generator at 43 percent, that is 25k t9 cell on a little 10,000g pool. I use...

Ive been running a salt system (hayward) for 6 years now, replaced the t9 cell 3x and still cant maintain a algae free pool here in Florida. Everything in pool area has corroded from the salt (although I am less than a mile from gulf). Thinking abut reverting back to fresh. Whats new, any...

    equipment leak

I have an old pentair rainbow 320, inline clorinator which constantly leaks. I replaced the o-ring and it seems to be dripping in the pipe joint. Thats what I had heard, Ive done several bucket tests and even had a pool leak company comes out and check for leaks...twice in the past year. I use a TFT test kit and actually measure 60-80 after I dump a couple pounds of stabilizer in the pool. Test kit works. CYA does disappear in a couple...
